Terms & Conditions

The Irish Shop Terms & Conditions

By using our website and placing an order with us you automatically agree to our terms and conditions as set out below. You should visit this page regularly to check the latest version.

Website Access

Our website will normally be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but there will be occasions without notice where maintenance or repair work may need to commence.

Registration Security

We do not permit you to share any of your login details with another user. Each user should register separately in order to have separate login details.

It is your full responsibility to keep any passwords and login details secure at all times. If you suspect that someone has your details you should inform us as soon as possible.

We have the right to cancel your registration at any time with reasonable discretion.

Your Information

We may use your information to analysis the market and for product research to improve and develop our business further.

We may also use your information to contact you for your feedback on our services or simply to inform you of future product lines we may offer.

Purchasing

Our minimum order is £20 plus postage.

All items that we have listed on our website are subject to availability.

We have the right to refuse an order, for example if goods are not available, if we do not receive payment or if there has been an error with pricing or descriptions on the product.

All product prices include VAT at the current rates.

Prices are reviewed at our discretion and will be updated on the website accordingly.

Delivery

Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete the order. It is your responsibility to make sure that the address is correct and complete in order for the delivery driver to deliver your goods and to deliver them to the correct address. If this delivery address is incorrect then we can not be held responsible for lost or delayed orders. There may also be a £8.50 return charge if the order is sent back to us. If any perishable goods are spoiled on the return of the parcel this will again be charged to you.

We cannot guarantee delivery times but we aim to deliver within 5 working days. Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your items within 5 working days, we shall not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. We shall contact you to let you know if we are having any problems getting an item to you within that time.

A signature is required at delivery. By placing an order you are authorising us to accept a signature from another person on your behalf if you need to sign for an item and you are not present at the time of delivery. We use a third party delivery company which may, at their discretion, leave an item in a safe place if no one is present at the time of delivery. In these circumstances the delivery company will put a card through your letterbox explaining where they have left the item. It is then your responsibility to collect the parcel from the Post Office where it will be held.

Ownership of an item will not pass to you until we have delivered or attempted to deliver the item to you (either directly, or by leaving it in a safe place, with a neighbour or waiting collection at a Post Office or parcel depot). When an item is delivered, risk of damage to or loss of the item passes to you.

It is your responsibility to store all products as they should be stored, in conjunction with the guidelines on the product packaging.

Perishable goods: Refrigerated items & perishable goods will be packaged just before we dispatch them to ensure freshness and sent via 24hr delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to take delivery of the items on the expected delivery date. If for any reason you are not in or able to take delivery we will not be responsible for the perishable goods & no refunds will be given. Upon delivery of the perishable goods they should be stored in the refrigerator as soon as your delivery has been received.

For more information on delivery arrangements and prices please visit our shipping section on the home page.

Returns

We hope that you will be happy with your purchase but should you wish to return or exchange an item due to a fault please contact us with the full details, including the reason for return within 48 hours of receiving your item. Returns will be treated on a case-by-case basis.

Please note this does not apply to perishable items & no refunds will be given on these items.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your order please notify us immediately otherwise you may incur extra charges if your item has already been dispatched.

In the event that goods have already been dispatched or delivered, it is your responsibility to return goods within 48 hours in an unused sealed condition, at your own expense. Please note, no refunds will be given for the perishable items. We recommend you use recorded delivery to ensure the items reach us.

Please note you are expected to take reasonable care of the goods in the event of cancellation and return otherwise a full refund may not be granted.
